A modern artifact made in prayer, this necklace features a rare antique bronze medal depicting the Pietà- an image of the divine mother cradling Christ after he has been removed from the cross, from an unknown date, likely in the 1800s. On either side of the medal are sage green freshwater pearls, rainbow opals, and four pieces of roman glass- fashioned into beads. These glass beads are crafted from 2,000 year old artifacts of the Roman occupation of the holy land.

This one-of-a-kind necklace carries an ancient prayer for grief to be alchemized into glory, and for the powers of occupation to fall under the weight of revolutionary love like that embodied in Christ. We are between worlds & between resurrections, and this necklace is meant to be worn by the faithful and passed on through generations of resilient love.

It has been blessed in holy wells across Ireland and at Lourdes in the south of France.
